Alpha Investing Platform, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Alpha Investing", "we", "us", "our"), operates the alphainvesting.app website and the Alpha Investing mobile application (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and (if you provide them) profile photo, phone number, country, date of birth and gender. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash (accounts created via Google or Apple Sign-In have no password on our servers).
- Subscription data: tier (Free, Basic, Pro, Premium), trial and billing status. Card and payment details are handled by our payment processor or the app store you subscribe through, and are never stored on our servers.
- Usage & content data: watchlists and sub-watchlists, saved screeners, "Ask Alpha" chat history with our AI agents, paper-trading portfolios, referral activity, personalization preferences, and notification settings.
- Product-analytics data: in-app events (screens viewed, features used) and aggregate activity (e.g. daily/weekly active use) to understand and improve the Service.
- Device data: a device token for push notifications, app version, and operating system.
- Crash reports: anonymized stack traces sent to our crash-reporting provider to diagnose bugs. No personal data is attached.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide the Service (stock analysis, AI recommendations, earnings and valuation insights, notifications).
- Personalize your experience (relevant watchlists, briefs, and recommendations).
- Process subscriptions, trials, referrals, and payments.
- Measure and improve product performance and our AI/ML models through aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
- Send notifications you've opted into (earnings alerts, price moves, smart-money and sentiment signals, digests).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations (tax, financial, and sanctions regulations).
3. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers that run parts of the platform for us, and with Meta to measure our ads:
- Cloud hosting: a cloud provider runs our servers and databases.
- Sign-in and notifications: a provider handles account sign-in and delivers push notifications.
- Payments: a payment processor for subscriptions bought on our website, and the app store you subscribe through for subscriptions bought in the app.
- AI model providers: generate the AI analysis. Prompts are limited to market data and your query and do not include your account identifiers.
- Crash reporting: error and crash tracking.
- Meta (ads measurement): our iOS and Android apps include Meta's measurement kit so we can see which of our ads work. It tells Meta when the app is installed, when you open it and how long each visit lasts, with basic device details (such as model, system version, language and time zone) and a random ID created for this install. On iPhone, your advertising identifier is included only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", it isn't, and Apple reports the install anonymously instead. On Android, it is included unless you have deleted it in your device settings. On Android, if the Facebook app is installed on your phone, Meta's kit also sends an identifier from that app, which Meta can use to connect these reports to your Facebook account. Your watchlist, searches, purchases and portfolio are not sent to Meta. In app version 1.0.4 and later you can turn this off at any time under More, then Privacy, then Share usage data. After that, Meta may still get a final notice that you turned it off, and the app still downloads settings from Meta and sends a few technical signals that don't include your advertising identifier.
- Meta Pixel (website ads): the public marketing pages of alphainvesting.app (the landing and informational pages) use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. It is never loaded inside the signed-in product, so your activity as a member is not shared.
Service providers process your data only on our behalf and only to provide the Service. You can ask us which providers we currently use at info@alphainvesting.app.
Our own product-analytics record stays with us. We run it on our own infrastructure and never hand it to an outside analytics company. The Meta measurement described above is separate. You can turn both off in the app at any time under More, then Privacy, with one switch.
Market data itself (prices, filings, news, fundamentals) is sourced from third-party providers; those requests are keyed by ticker and do not include your personal data.
4. Data Retention
We retain account data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@alphainvesting.app or using in-app account deletion. We'll delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to export it in a portable format. Contact us at info@alphainvesting.app.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, a dedicated secrets manager for credentials, strict rate limiting, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the new policy.
